“COVID-19 Crisis Response Emergency Plan for Europe’s Tourism & Aviation – the SME Perspective”

The COVID-19 outbreak and the preventive measures implemented by national governments to prevent further contagion have greatly impacted the aviation sector in particular. From cuts in passengersʼ revenue, to travel restrictions, to aircraft groundings, in this scenario, SMEs are disproportionately affected. To preserve the European Single Market from further disruption and ensure the viability of vital supply chains via cargo, there needs to be a coordinated European response, with special attention to short and long-term measures to effectively pave the way for a sustainable recovery for the tourism and aviation sector in the aftermath of COVID-19.
